Members of the Wesleyan community gathered on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Washington DC for our 45th Annual Philip B. Brown ’44 Lecture, This is Wesleyan: Equipping, Engaging, and Elevating Public Life with Khalilah L. Brown-Dean. As Rob Rosenthal Distinguished Professor of Civic Engagement, executive director of the Allbritton Center, and host of NPR’s Disrupted, Brown-Dean shared powerful insights on civic responsibility, the importance of embracing complexity, and fostering social impact through public life. The event highlighted the Center’s growing efforts to expand civic engagement opportunities for students.
